Alginate Impression Powder
Alginate is a professional impression material for production of negatives with exact details. Scalp hair must be covered by a bald cap. Eyelashes and body hair should be lightly covered with make-up remover. To Use: For making a facial impression, about 250 g of Alginate DE is mixed with cold water. Stir by hand very vigorously and fast, until a very creamy mass is produced. The material allows a total working window of around 5 minutes, which the artist can use for mixing and taking the impression. Use both hands to apply Alginate DE, in such a way that approximately an equal amount is always being applied at any one time on both sides (i.e., do not work entirely on one side, and then the other). Be very careful not to apply Alginate DE in such a way as to close the model’s nostrils. After the mixed Alginate DE has been completely applied, it must then be reinforced with plaster bandages. As soon as the plaster has set, carefully remove the Alginate impression from the skin, and then immediately fill it with plaster. This produces the final positive. After the positive has completely hardened throughout, remove the Alginate negative and dispose of it properly. It cannot be used again. 1lb.

3-D Gel
Mehron's 3-D Gel is a gelatin-based special effects product designed to create realistic skin and prosthetic pieces. It is easily moldable and perfect for simulating wounds, scars, and other skin distortions and molds. To Use: Heat the container in hot water until the gel is liquefied to the consistency of honey (test temperature before applying to skin). Apply to skin using a spatula or makeup brush. Allow to dry completely and set, then apply Colorset Powder on top using a puff. Remove by gently peeling off the gel and washing the skin with soap and water. Pro Tip: Pigments and paints can be added to 3-D Gel while the gel is liquefied to add color. Use Mehron's Liquid Makeup to add color or Paradise Glitter FX for a sparkling effect. Gel-Foam
Gel-Foam is a gelatin foam for small facial appliances that very realistically resemble human skin. Gel-Foam is heated in a microwave oven until the material begins to rise. The compound must then be immediately removed from the oven, and then filled into a mold that has been pre-treated with Separator Spray from Kryolan. The mold is then immediately closed and secured. After the drying process (approx. 45 minutes), the mold is opened and the foam appliance is powdered. Next, carefully remove the foam appliance and powder it on all sides. 45g.
