When Professor Knowby recited passages from the Necronomicon, he released the evil entity known as the Evil Force. Every victim of the Evil's possession display superhuman strength--able to easily throw full grown human adults across a room with one hand or punch through solid wood. Deadites, which are already dead when they are possessed, show other abilities. In the case of Henrietta, she was able to fly and transform into a snake-headed creature, referred to by the cast and crew of Evil Dead II as "Mr. Pee-Wee Head".
